We often heard TDP1, TDP3, HO-4, etc. What are those?
DP stands for Dwelling policy. HO stands for homeowner policy. Number denotes the policy type (DP1, DP3 etc,). T stands for Texas. DPs are basic dwelling coverage, often for non- owner occupied. While HOs are for owner -occupied policies. The biggest difference between TDP1 and TDP3 are covered perils. TDP1 is for named perils, TDP3 is comprehensive perils. In layman’s term: TDP1 only covers named perils in policy document, such as fire, wind, hail etc. While TDP3 covers all perils except excluded perils, such as earthquake, volcano eruptions.

There is a sudden water damage, what should I do first?

Why do we need insurance

Am I covered if my dog bites my neighbor?
Dog bites are included with your basic liability coverage. However, dogs that have a history of bites are considered “vicious” and will be excluded from coverage. Consult with your agent before issue the policy.
What is Vehicle insurance?

I'm new to Texas. How do I title/register my vehicle and get my driver's license?
There are 4 steps to title and register your vehicle in Texas as a new Texas resident. The steps must be followed in the order listed:
Step 1: Obtain Texas vehicle insurance
Some out-of-state insurance policies may be acceptable. However, Insurance from one of the 12 no-fault states are not acceptable. you must show you have insurance coverage for a minimum of $30k/60k/25k.
Step 2: Obtain a Texas vehicle inspection at any state inspection station within your new county of residence. Proof of vehicle insurance will be required at the time of inspection
Step 3: Apply for a Texas title and/or registration in person at a county tax office. Proof of current vehicle insurance. Proof of current Texas vehicle inspection
Step 4: Apply for a Texas driver license through the Texas Department of Public Safety

We all have so much stuff! It’s a good idea to prepare a home inventory and record expensive items' receipt. Personal property has ACV or RCV coverage. Make sure consult with your agent to discuss the best way to carry personal property coverage.
Understand your insurance Declaration page
It is very important to understand Your insurance declaration pages. It is the contract between you and insurance company. It explaines what is covered and how much it covers. Is there any conditions or exclusions for the coverages. What is the effective date? What is the expiration date. It is important to make sure your name(s) and address are spelled correctly. Request correction if there is any discrepancies.
I have solar panel on the property, should I let insurance company know?
Yes. Replacement on a roof with solar panel will cost much higher than a regular roof. In order to avoid any miscommunication in the future, please let your agent know, we will include this into your dwelling coverage.
When do I need to add my teenager to my insurance policy?

I have an expensive wedding ring, will it be covered by my home owner insurance? Do I need to provide receipt?
Home owner insurance has scheduled coverage for your stolen items, means insurance only covers certain items to a limit, See your policy document for details. jewellery, sports equipment, or other valuables needs to have additional endorsements to make sure the valuables have the right amount of coverage
I lost a very expensive camera while I traveled, any coverage from my home insurance?
Yes. Farmers home owner insurance covers stolen or damaged items even it's not happened at your property. Make sure to get a policy report on file. Estimate your lost since there is deducible needs to meet first. Discuss with your agent if you are not sure what kind coverage you have.
